Stockton

Stockton air quality monitoring station is located in a park on Fullerton St opposite the intersection with Flint St (Stockton).  It is one of the three within the Newcastle Local Air Quality Monitoring Network (NLAQMN) commissioned in August 2014. This monitoring site is not designated as an Ambient Air Quality National Environment Protection Measure (NEPM) compliance monitoring station.

Data collected

The following air pollutants and meteorological variables are currently measured at Stockton:

  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Fine particles as PM10
  • Fine particles as PM2.5
  • Oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2 and NOx)
  • Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
  • Ambient temperature
  • Relative humidity
  • Wind speed, wind direction and sigma theta
