Lismore

Lismore air quality monitoring station is located at the Northern Rivers Aero Club, Lismore, in the NSW Northern Rivers region. During the bushfire emergency between November 2019 and March 2020, an emergency monitoring station measuring PM2.5 and PM10 was located in the Wilson Park School.

Data collected

The following air pollutants are currently measured at Lismore:

  • Fine particles as PM10
  • Fine particles as PM2.5
  • Total Suspended Particles (TSP)

Instrument limitations – Most rural network stations use indicative monitors. While best efforts are made to ensure they respond similarly to standard-compliant instruments, care must be taken in interpreting the data compared with Air NEPM standards without additional information.
